ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

A leading European manufacturer of premium sheet metal folding machines, panel benders, and cutting systems. The equipment is widely recognized as among the best in the world for precision sheet metal fabrication and serves job shops, contract fabricators, enclosure manufacturers, OEM fabrication operations, structural steel shops, HVAC sheet metal fabricators, and the data center supply chain. This is a confidential search; the company will be disclosed upon mutual interest.


THE ROLE

Individual contributor territory sales role responsible for developing and managing the Central Midwest market across Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, and Tennessee. The rep owns the full sales cycle from prospecting through close and manages relationships with dealers and direct end-user accounts. Commission is tiered on gross profit and accelerates as annual targets are achieved. No cap.


RESPONSIBILITIES

•    Develop and manage direct end-user accounts across IL, IN, KY, TN, OH

•    Manage dealer and distributor relationships within the territory

•    Conduct in-person facility visits, application reviews, and machine demonstrations

•    Present technical solutions for sheet metal fabrication challenges including bending, folding, and cutting applications

•    Manage full sales cycle: prospecting, proposal, demonstration, negotiation, and close

•    Forecast territory pipeline accurately; report to VP of Sales

•    Represent the company at regional and national trade shows


COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

•    Base salary plus tiered gross profit commission -- accelerates significantly above 75% of annual goal

•    Commission paid on booking

IDEAL CANDIDATE

•    Capital equipment sales background in sheet metal fabrication, press brakes, laser cutting, panel bending, or adjacent industrial equipment

•    Experience selling to job shops, contract fabricators, enclosure manufacturers, structural steel shops, or HVAC sheet metal fabricators

•    Central Midwest territory background preferred; must be based within the territory footprint

•    Consultative seller comfortable with long capital equipment sales cycles

•    Dealer/distributor channel management experience a plus

•    Strong technical aptitude -- ability to understand customer applications and recommend appropriate machine configurations
