Regional Sales Executive - Woodworking Machinery (West Coast)

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

A European manufacturer of premium sliding table saws and panel sizing equipment -- a dominant brand in the professional and industrial woodworking machinery market. The equipment is the gold standard for custom cabinetmakers, furniture manufacturers, millwork operations, architectural woodworking shops, and high-volume industrial wood processing facilities. This is a confidential search; the company name will be disclosed upon mutual interest.


THE ROLE

Individual contributor territory sales role responsible for developing and managing West Coast accounts. The rep sells premium capital equipment to professional woodworking operations ranging from custom shop level through large industrial facilities. Commission accelerates as annual shipment targets are achieved.


RESPONSIBILITIES

•    Develop and close new accounts across the West Coast territory

•    Manage existing dealer and distributor relationships

•    Conduct in-person facility visits, product demonstrations, and application reviews

•    Present premium equipment solutions to shop owners, production managers, and engineering leadership

•    Manage full sales cycle from prospecting through close including proposals, demonstrations, and contract negotiation

•    Attend woodworking industry trade shows and dealer events

•    Maintain accurate pipeline forecasting and CRM records


COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

•    $75,000 - $110,000 Base Salary

•  Commission: 1.5% at base, accelerating to 2-3%+ as annual targets are achieved

•    Commission paid on equipment shipment

•    Full benefits package

•    Travel expenses covered


IDEAL CANDIDATE

•    Capital equipment sales background in woodworking machinery, panel processing, or closely adjacent industrial equipment

•    Experience selling to custom cabinet shops, furniture manufacturers, millwork operations, architectural woodworking, or industrial wood processing

•    West Coast territory experience preferred; must be based within the territory

•    Consultative seller with strong demonstration skills

•    Relationship builder who earns trust with shop owners and production leadership

•    Brands of interest: Homag, Stiles, Weinig, Biesse, SCM, Felder, Martin, or comparable
